I wanted to make you aware of current IT industry conditions that may impact both pricing and timelines. Ongoing component shortages—particularly across memory, SSDs, and GPUs—combined with increased demand driven by AI initiatives, have led manufacturers to significantly shorten quote validity periods. As a result, pricing and availability can change rapidly.

For the time being, we will be removing systems from the website and instead asking customers to contact Justin Pulsipher directly for system quotes based on the current timeframe.

My goal is to help you navigate these conditions as smoothly as possible; however, some decisions may need to be made on a tighter timeline than in the past. Please feel free to call me if you have any questions or would like to discuss options further.

The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine at UNLV IT Department has partnered with HP & Riverside Technologies, Inc. (RTI) to provide computers, laptops, and peripherals.  Using this site you’ll be able to create a quote for the purchase of approved items. Please proceed to your organization from the dropdown menu option above to begin.

When adding items to your cart and upon checking out, you will receive an email with your quote. If you wish to proceed with the order, submit the quote including the funding source (The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine: PG Number + approved The Kirk Kerkorian School of Medicine Routing sheet, UNLV Health: departmental expense) to the Help Desk via the portal, https://unlvsom.atlassian.net/servicedesk. Upon reaching the portal, proceed to Shared Services Business Operations. Upload your approved quote to the Purchase Request option.  

All purchases require approval by your department as purchases are department expenses.  We suggest the quotes and approvals are submitted to the Help Desk from someone with authority on the funding account to expedite the process.
